About the Artist:
Paul Treleven was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He served in the South African Air Force during the early 1980s in the Angolan War. It was here that his love affair with aircraft began, and he spent his free time sketching.
He went on to become a SWAT paramedic and captain in the emergency services in South Africa, and crewed an EMS helicopter for many years. After almost losing his life during a rescue operation, he decided to leave the service and has been painting in oils ever since.
Paul is self-taught, and his paintings can be found across the globe. Owners of his work include the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, John Travolta, Celine Dion, Nelson Mandela, SAAB Aerospace, Virgin Atlantic, and Southwest Airlines.
He currently has a vast selection of aircraft, sports cars, and portraits in his extensive portfolio, including portraits of John Travolta and Celine Dion.
